Print Resources

 

General Reference Books are library materials that are intended to be consulted for specific information rather than read from beginning to end. These include encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases, etc.


Reserve Books are required reading materials for courses offered during the semester/summer.


Circulation Books are reading materials for home use that can be borrowed for a longer period of time.


Theses, Dissertations, Research Papers are documents submitted in support of candidature for an academic degree.


Serials, such as journals and periodicals, refer to publications in any medium issued in successive parts bearing numerical or chronological designation, and intended to be continued indefinitely.


Special Collections include rare books, books in personal papers of Filipiniana and Archives Sections, art collections, and certain types of fine Art books.


Archival Collections such as official records, personal papers, legal papers, manuscripts, etc., shall be subject to any restrictions that may have been imposed on particular records by the originating office in the University or the donor as stipulated in the deed of donation.
