There are two (2) two-unit libraries located in Miagao campus. They are the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS)/School of Technology (SoTech) Library and the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Library.

The CFOS Library occupies two rooms of the Library-Museum Building for its collection and readers. It houses not only the collection of the College of Fisheries but also that of the School of Technology (SoTech). It also operates the Brackishwater Aquaculture Center Library in Leganes.

The different institutes of the College of Fisheries, namely, the Institute of Aquaculture (IA), Institute of Marine Fisheries and Oceanography (IMFO), Institute of Fish Processing Technology (IFPT), and the Institute of Fisheries Policy and Development Studies (IFPDS) maintain their own “mini-library” with the help of the CFOS Librarian.

The CAS Library is also situated in the Library-Museum Building.  It consists of the following sections: Circulation, Reserve, Filipiniana, and Reference/Serial Sections.

There are three (3) unit libraries located in the Iloilo City campus. They are the College of Management (CM) Library, the High School Library, and the Graduate Library. Unlike in Miagao campus where the libraries are confined in one Library-Museum building, the libraries in the Iloilo City campus are scattered and situated in different buildings. The University Archives can also be found in the said campus.

The College of Management Library consists of the Reserve, Circulation, Reference and Filipiniana Sections which are situated in two different locations in Iloilo City Campus.  The Reserve/Reference Section is located at the Humanities Building, while the Circulation/Filipiniana Section is located at the second floor of the Graduate and Continuing Education Building (GCEB). Both sections occupy only one room of the said buildings.

The Graduate Library, located at the ground floor of the Graduate and Continuing Education Building (GCEB), caters mainly to the information and research needs of the graduate and post-graduate students of the University. It is divided into Reserve, Circulation and Serials Sections.

The UP High School Library is located at the 2nd floor of the High School Building.  It serves the library needs of both Junior and Senior High School students as well as the faculty members.

The University Archives is located in the Humanities Building.  It serves as a depository of archival and official records of the University of the Philippines Visayas.

The UPV Tacloban College Library, located in Magsaysay Boulevard, Tacloban City, was integrated with U.P. Visayas in 1986. The library services are administered by a professional librarian under the administrative supervision of the Dean of the College. However, technical supervision is done by the UPV University Librarian.
