UPVisayas Library Staff to Retire Effective 01 July 2023

Three library staff are expected to retire effective 01 July 2023 namely Romeo Procalla, Ma. Tita Noble and Ninfa Bandorio.

Mr. Procalla, Adm. Aide IV has served the university more or less 41 years. He was a recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Most Outstanding Administrative Staff Rank and File Level in 2004. Roming, as fondly called by colleagues, is always a person of interest especially when one’s computer unit is in trouble. His skills in troubleshoot is a big asset to the library organization.

Ms. Ma. Tita Noble, Adm. Aide VI, 33 years in service, has been a valuable worker of the library. Her expertise in indexing library materials has proven her worth even though she is not a professional librarian.

Ms. Ninfa Bandorio on the other hand is a Scientific Documentation Officer I of the Library. She is among the pioneers of UP Visayas Miagao campus assigned at the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences Library. She had been working in the library for more or less 35 years. She does the cataloging of books and other library materials. Moreover, she is the Information and Publication Officer of the library. Ms. Bandorio was appointed Officer-in-Charge of the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences Library for one year by the University Librarian.
